Now there may be some variances that are industry specific, BUT the research shows there is a clear winner when it comes to the day of the week and the time of the day you are calling if you are wanting to connect with people the first time you call!
This graph shows that on Mondays and Tuesdays, the contact on the first attempt is pretty high. Those are pretty good connection rates. However, you can clearly see that Wednesday stands out as the best day of the week to make sales calls, followed closely by Thursday. Fridays are the least productive day for calls so perhaps using Fridays to send follow-up emails or texts would be time better spent.
Looking at this graph, we can see that the time of day that you are calling makes a big difference too! You can see that while the hours from 9am to 10am as well as 3pm and 6pm are all great times to call to speak with someone on the first call, 4pm to 5pm is the optimal time to call with 11am to 12pm being the second best time of the day to make those calls.
